Privacy statement
This statement is about the data you leave on www.sailer.nl. We keep it short and concrete: what we ask for, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask back.
Who is responsible

What data we process, and why

We do not ask for more than this. If you leave a field empty, your request still goes through; we only need an email address in order to be able to reply.
On what basis
- For a request for a quotation: the performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request prior to a contract.
- For an introduction: our legitimate interest in contacting you at your request.
- For the newsletter: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
How long we keep it
No longer than necessary. Requests that lead to an order are part of our records and we keep them for seven years, because tax law requires it. Requests that do not lead to an order we keep for a maximum of two years, so that we can still find an earlier conversation if you contact us again. A newsletter subscription we keep until you unsubscribe.
Who else sees it
This website runs at Vercel and the data from the forms ends up in a database at Supabase, in a data centre in Frankfurt. The confirmation email and the newsletter are sent via Resend, from a European sending region. All three process the data solely on our behalf and not for their own purposes; we have a data processing agreement with each of them. Beyond that, nobody receives your data, unless we are legally obliged to provide it.
As a rule, your data stays within the European Union. Resend is a US company; for the few data items that may end up outside the Union there (your email address and name for the newsletter), the European standard contractual clauses apply. We do not sell anything on and we do not use your data for advertising.
Cookies and measurement data
This site does not place tracking cookies and does not use any advertising or statistics package that follows you across websites. That is why you do not have to make a choice in a cookie notice either.
Security
The site works exclusively over a secure connection. The data from the forms can only be added, not read back from the website: that happens in our own shielded environment, behind a login and only by the staff who follow up on requests. Attachments are stored separately and are not publicly accessible.
What you can ask for
- Access to the data we hold about you.
- Correction if something is not right.
- Erasure, unless we still have to keep it for our records.
- Restriction of the use, or objection to the use.
- Your data in a common file format, so that you can take it with you.
You can send a request to sittard@sailer.nl. We respond within four weeks. If you and we cannot work it out together, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
