What we do

Sailer specialises in precision machining of metals and plastics. We also grind, saw and engrave, and we check quality carefully in our measuring room.

More machines than people

We deliberately have more lathes and milling machines than machinists. That way an urgent job can start quickly on a free machine, without planned work coming to a halt.

Material in stock

The most requested grades, such as stainless 304 and 316L, aluminium 6082 and bright structural steel, are on our rack as bar and plate, along with the common plastics. This is to keep lead times as short as possible.

Critical on quality

At Sailer we are proud of the quality we deliver. That goes further than the right dimensions alone. We also pay close attention to the surface of your parts and to the way we deliver them to you.

Careful final inspection

Every part goes through the final inspection before it leaves the building. Our process is supported by a professional ERP system and by the systematic approach of ISO 9001.

Finishing arranged

Chemical blackening, engraving and surface grinding we do ourselves. Anodising, hardening, spark erosion and welding run through regular partners. Everything is checked by Sailer before shipment.

Repeat work

We can retrieve the data of repeat orders quickly, so that coordinating a repeat order can run more efficiently.

Does your part fit on our machines?

In short: milling up to roughly 1,000 by 600 by 600 millimetres, CNC turning up to 410 millimetres in diameter and 1,250 millimetres in length, conventional turning up to 1,500 millimetres in length. Series of one to a few hundred pieces.

How to supply your data

A drawing is welcome but not required. Four routes that all work with us:

1
You supply an existing part and we reproduce it. No drawing needed.
2
You have a sketch and we turn it into a complete set of drawings.
3
You have paper drawings and we process and digitise them.
4
You send a STEP or CAD file, we read it in and adjust it where needed.

We work in SolidWorks 3D. We can read in files from CATIA and Unigraphics NX as well.

Send your drawing or STEP file with the request. On working days you will usually have an answer within 24 hours.
